Scent of Discovery for Perfume Direct picks up two nominations, and rightfully so. This is Search & Discovery thinking applied in full: not SEO in the traditional sense, but a comprehensive approach to how customers find, explore, and choose across every platform that matters. The double nomination in both Best Use of Search and Most Innovative Campaign reflects what happens when you stop treating search as a channel and start treating it as a strategic system.
The Fakefluencers campaign has now made shortlists in multiple award programmes and multiple categories, each time in a new arena, each time proving the same principle: technology in service of a strategic idea, not as the idea itself. Best Use of AI in PPC is a nomination that reflects the same principle it always has: technology deployed in service of a strategic idea, not as the idea itself.Fossil Fuelled Growth for British Fossils continues to do what it has always done: prove that category ownership thinking is not reserved for big budgets or crowded consumer markets. A Best Low Budget Campaign nomination is a recognition of what rigorous, brand-led strategy can achieve when the brief demands you work smarter rather than just spend more.
WHY THE SEARCH AWARDS MATTER TO US
Search & Discovery is core to how we think about growth. Not search as a channel, but search as a system, the belief that brands serious about compound growth need to be discoverable wherever their customers explore, ask questions, and make decisions. Google, yes. But also TikTok, Reddit, AI systems like ChatGPT, and every emerging discovery channel that follows.
Having that work shortlisted at the European Search Awards, in a category we haven’t entered before, is the kind of external validation that confirms the methodology is sound, not just in our own analysis, but in the wider industry’s assessment.
